We as the “Couples N Christ” are a Sunday school class at Peace Church in Wilson, North Carolina.  Our purpose is to build faithful individuals, marriages, and families based on a foundational relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our mission is to develop that relationship through three biblical principles: fellowship, discipleship, and apostleship.

Fellowship: We believe all Christians need the opportunity to get to know one another and to have fun together.  Through meeting together, we are able to promote an environment of spiritual growth and encouragement.  It is fellowship that holds the body of Christ together.  With this unity comes the responsibility to hold each other accountable and to serve one another.

Discipleship: We believe that every believer, marriage, and family must be actively pursuing growth in their relationship with Christ.  Meeting together is more than just enjoying fellowship.  It is about “life training”.  As “disciples” of Christ we are “students” in training.  Therefore, our focus is to provide a learning environment that is dynamic and founded upon sound biblical principles.  However, discipleship is not just about knowing truth, it is about applying that truth in our lives daily.

Apostleship:  By “apostle” we mean becoming a “sent one”.  We do not believe that the process stops with discipleship.  We are committed to seeing couples maximize their impact on the world for Jesus Christ by taking the principles of salvation in Christ and discipleship to those around them.  We believe that the true calling of all believers is to make a difference in the lives of others for Jesus Christ.
